The Foundation
Ray Atlee Ford begins his career in the transfer and logistics industry, working for a family-owned company in Omaha.
Where It All Began
Ray Atlee Ford incorporates Ford Transfer Company, providing transfer services for flour, rice, grains, and bulk products across Omaha and Council Bluffs.
Expanding the Family
Ray and his brother Roy incorporate Ford Bros. Van & Storage Company, expanding into moving and storage.
Going National
Ford becomes a charter agent of Allied Van Lines, one of only 16 agents in the country.
Downtown Omaha Roots
Ray leases six floors totaling 100,000 sq ft at 1024 Dodge Street in downtown Omaha.
Serving Our Country
During WWII, Ford Bros. Van & Storage provides critical warehousing for the U.S. government.
Ford Storage & Moving Is Born
Following significant growth in public warehousing, Ford Storage & Moving Company is officially incorporated.
Evolving with the Industry
Ford Storage purchases a new 100,000 sq. ft. single-story warehouse, embracing the future of logistics operations.
Building for the Future
Construction of a brand new 64,000 sq. ft. facility in La Vista, Nebraska, with 35-foot interior clearance and badge access.
